Applicant and Candidate Privacy Policy

This policy explains:

  1. What information we collect during our application and recruitment process and why we collect it;

  2. How we use that information; and

  3. How to access and update that information.

  1. ENTITY IN CHARGE OF PROCESSING

By completing this form, we hereby inform you that your personal data will be processed by SEQURA WORLDWIDE S.A., a company located in Barcelona, at Carrer Ali Bei 7-9 Entresuelo 08010 Barcelona, holding Tax Id No. A66054164 (hereinafter, SEQURA).

  1. TYPES OF INFORMATION WE COLLECT.

This policy covers the information you share with us and/or which may be acquired or produced by SEQURA during the application or recruitment process including:

  • Your name, address, email address, telephone number and other contact information.

  • Your resume or CV, cover letter, previous and/or relevant work experience or other experience, education, transcripts, or other information you provide to us in support of an application and/or the application and recruitment process.

  • Information from interviews and phone-screenings you may have, if any.

  • Details of the type of employment you are or may be looking for, current and/or desired salary and other terms relating to compensation and benefits packages, willingness to relocate, or other job preferences.

  • Details of how you heard about the position you are applying for.

  • Any sensitive and/or demographic information processed during the application or recruitment process such as gender, information about your citizenship and/or nationality, medical or health information and/or your racial or ethnic origin. 

  • Reference information and/or information received from background checks (where applicable), including information provided by third parties.

  • Information relating to any previous applications you may have made to SEQURA and/or any previous employment history with SEQURA.

  • Your information from publicly available sources, including online, that we believe is relevant to your application or a potential future application (e.g., your LinkedIn profile); and/or 

  • Information related to any assessment you may take as part of the interview screening process.

  1. PURPOSE

The data will be processed for the sole purpose of managing your application for the vacancy including the following treatments:

  • Assessing your skills, qualifications and interests against our career opportunities.

  • Verifying your information and carrying out reference checks and/or conducting background checks (where applicable) if you are offered a job.

  • Communications with you about the recruitment process and/or your application(s), including, in appropriate cases, informing you of other potential career opportunities at SEQURA.

  • Creating and/or submitting reports as required under any local laws and/or regulations, where applicable.

  • Making improvements to SEQURA’s application and/or recruitment process including improving diversity in recruitment practices.

  • Complying with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, or enforceable governmental requests; and/or

  • Proactively conducting research about your educational and professional background and skills and contacting you if we think you would be suitable for a role with us.

Your data may be kept on file for future vacancies in SEQURA, in accordance with the provisions of this Privacy Policy.

  1. DATA COMMUNICATION

Your data will not be transferred at the disposal of any third party in any other manner, except those SEQURA service providers who perform specific tasks for the company (such as managing the online job portal), but in no case shall the data be used for their own purposes.

SEQURA may sometimes be required to disclose your information to external third parties such as to local labor authorities, courts and tribunals, regulatory bodies and/or law enforcement agencies for the purpose of complying with applicable laws and regulations, or in response to legal process.

  1. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS

It is possible that your data may be processed outside the European Union or the European Economic Area (EU and EEA, respectively); for example, by companies located in the United States, among others, or by international suppliers who may provide their services to SEQURA from outside the EU.

In any case, SEQURA will ensure that such data processing is always protected under suitable and proper guarantees, which may include:

  • EU-Approved Model Contracts: These are contracts approved by the European regulator, and provide sufficient guarantees to ensure that data processing complies comply with the requirements established by the EU General Data Protection Regulation (hereinafter, "GDPR").

  • Third-party Certifications: For example, the Privacy Shield, a framework agreement between the EU and the United States that establishes a standardized framework for data processing according to the requirements of the GDPR.

  1. LENGTH OF TIME YOUR DATA IS PROCESSED AND STORED

All the data you provide us will be processed during a maximum period of one (1) year from the date of your last application for a vacancy published by SEQURA.

After the period indicated, SEQURA will keep your data duly anonymized for statistical purposes or market studies, whenever possible, or duly blocked, to comply with any legal obligation of SEQURA.

  1. EXERCISE OF YOUR RIGHTS

You may object to any of the processing indicated above at any time with no impact or repercussion on your candidate status in all remaining ways yet possible.

Similarly, you may exercise your rights of access, rectification, deletion, limitation or portability, by means of written notice addressed to SEQURA at the postal address of C/ Ali Bei 7-9 Entresuelo 08010 Barcelona or by email to arco@sequra.es.

Additionally, you may file a complaint with the competent Supervising Authority if you consider that SEQURA has processed your data in violation of this Privacy Policy or any other prevailing and applicable regulations in force.
