Job description

About seQura

seQura provides innovative, flexible and easy-to-use payment technologies that help merchants acquire, convert and retain more customers.

We make a difference in sales performance by tailoring our solutions to different sectors, to address their unique pain points and deliver superior results in Retail, Education, Eyewear, Repairs and Travel.

We also empower smart shopping to consumers who seek more value, convenience, and flexibility in their shopping, with new payment experiences that allow them to save, access interest-free credit, or pay in small, comfortable installments of up to 24 months.

Born in Barcelona, seQura is a privately-owned fintech, currently expanding throughout southern Europe and Latin America, growing above 50% CAGR and approaching 100 Million in Annual Recurring Revenue.
Over 5000 businesses, almost 2 million shoppers, and almost 400 employees continue to rate us as one of the most loved and trusted fintechs out there, with an NPS of 87%, a Trustpilot rating of 4.7/5, and a Glassdoor rating of 4.3/5.

About the role 🤓

As our Head of FP&A, you will be the owner of financial truth, performance intelligence, and forward-looking decision support.

Job requirements

What challenges you'll be solving 🚀

  • Lead and develop a lean, engaged, and high-performing FP&A function.

  • Owns SeQura’s single source of financial truth across P&L, cash flow, balance sheet, and unit economics, ensuring real-time, consistent data for all teams, while proactively identifying issues and blockers and driving their resolution.

  • Lead the full performance management reporting cycle including monthly and quarterly close, forecasting, variance analysis and scenario planning with a strong focus on speed, accuracy, and insight.

  • Implements vertical and geographical P&L ownership in partnership with Growth, Product, and Commercial leaders, acting as a co-owner of outcomes rather than a reporting layer.

  • Lead the shift to continuous, driver-based forecasting, including rolling forecasts, annual plans, and 3-5 year plans, enabling automatic updates, real-time scenario analysis, and tight alignment between strategy and execution.

  • Prepare high-impact financial presentations for the leadership, Board of Directors, and investors, translating complex financial data into clear, decision-oriented insights.

  • Build and maintain financial models, business cases, and investment analyses to support growth, product, and capital allocation decisions.

  • Provide clear financial narratives and performance bridges to the leadership, the Board, and investors.

  • Partner with the leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure Finance actively guides growth, risk, and capital allocation decisions.

  • Drive the FP&A AI and analytics data stack (Abacum, BI, data platforms, automation, anomaly detection) to eliminate manual work and ensure scalable, trusted analytics.

  • Build a high-performance FP&A culture of ownership, automation, analytical rigor, and business partnership, turning FP&A into a real-time decision engine, not a reporting factory.

  • Systematically identify and eliminate manual processes, ensuring FP&A operates as a decision engine rather than a reporting factory.

What you’ll need 🤝

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

  • 8+ years of experience in FP&A or Strategic Finance with minimum 2 years as the function leader within a high-growth fintech, SaaS, or lending business.

  • Previously owned the FP&A function end-to-end in a scaling company (not just supported it), including planning, forecasting, business partnering, and board-level reporting.

  • Proven experience designing, owning, and operating driver-based financial models across P&L, cash flow, balance sheet, and portfolio economics.

  • Demonstrated track record of turning ambiguous problems into shipped, adopted solutions — not just analyses or frameworks

  • A systems mindset, thinking in terms of drivers, flows, and feedback loops rather than static reporting.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to translate complexity into clear insights.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and scale high-performing teams.

  • Hands-on experience operating in multi-country environments with complex revenue models, funding structures, and unit economics.

  • Ability to think in systems, flows, and feedback loops — not decks, reports, or KPIs in isolation.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems; experience with NetSuite, Abacum and Embat is a plus.

  • Strong attention to detail, analytical rigor, and a results-driven mindset.

  • Hands-on experience with or strong exposure to AI-enabled forecasting, automation, or finance transformation initiatives.

  • Fluent in English; Spanish is a strong plus.

We kindly ask that you submit your CV in English, as it is the official language of our community.
